Gone Fishin'
We took the boys fishing the other night after J got home from work. Here's Travis holding one of the many fish he caught. Although the boys have been fishing before, this was the first time Travis caught any. And he's pretty good at catching them, as long as someone casts for him! He actually caught more than Deacon or J, but we're not telling Deacon that of course, don't want his feelings hurt. And to J's credit, he was pretty busy helping them that he didn't get to do much fishing himself. Cause we all know I wasn't much help, took some pics that was about all I could do, besides feeding the ducks, not much bending needed doing that!!
Such a little camera hog, always making cute faces and being silly. Although he caught many, he was only allowed to throw 2 back in, the 1 above and we won't discuss the poor unfortunate demise of the other that led to them not being allowed to throw their fish back in. Let's just say he was upset with the little fishes for getting away from him and stealing his worm so many times that we believe he took it out on the other poor little fish, rocks were involved and that's all I'm going to say. Too sad for me to talk about. A moment of silence please for that poor fishie that I'm sure didn't make it, or if it did, my apologies and a longer moment of silence.
Deacon cheesing with one of his catches. That's Becky, J's mom, helping him hold it up. That was one of his bigger catches. He didn't catch as many as Travis, but I think that's just because he gets too excited. He starts reeling in so fast I start to get some water to put on his reel!! He ends up just jerking the worm away before the fish gets on his line, poor guy, but he's a trooper.

Deacon was also much more hesitant to hold the fish than Travis was. Although he'd caught many before, this was his first time holding them. All in all, I think everyone had a pretty good time. After fishing for about two hours, we feed the ducks then headed home.
